X-Ray fluorescence (xrf)

purpose

EMF has been using the handheld XRF to collect geochemical data from Point Pleasant cores and use that data for a chemostrtographic study. The study is meant to define the Condensed Interval inside the Ohio Point Pleasant Formation.

Our data collection process involves scanning for over 30 elements as well as looking at a Si/Al ratio. Below shows two comparisons against Si/Al using Th and Zr.
